Gearbox announced some show-stopping news at PAX10 this weekend with the announcement that they have taken over Duke Nukem Forever and will be releasing it next year, but the big news for us Borderlandsers is that DLC4 is out on Sept 28th and while there is no level cap raise in the DLC, there will be a free patch issued "around the late-October GOTY release" that "rebalances the game" and raises the cap to level 69. Gearbox announced the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands recently via Twitter, to be released October 12 for 59.99 on Xbox 360, PS3 and 49.99 on PC. 3/4 of the DLC are reported to be on the disc, with the yet-to-be-released "Claptrap's Robot Revolution" redeemable via a download token.
Perhaps the GOTY Edition Strategy Guide that surfaced last month will release along side this excellent value for anyone who hasn't experienced Borderlands yet.

The fourth (and likely final) DLC for Borderlands was just announced, and will have us taking on an army of Claptraps! The DLC will include 20 new missions, 10 extra skill points, 3 backpack slots, and perhaps some other surprises. Skill Calculator Updated

It's been a long time coming, but the 87bazillion.com skill calculator has been updated allowing you to keep building your skill trees for level 61, as well as has been tweaked to reflect a couple inaccuracies in some of the data.

Out of nowhere Claptrap Episode 3 has been released! This one has been a long time coming, and something tells me they scrapped the original idea for episode 3 (since I don't see my name anywhere in it) and made this one about the recent awards that Borderlands has or has not won. It's hilarious as always, watch it within.

Out of freaking nowhere, Gearbox announces the release date of DLC3 - The Secret Armory of General Knoxx - and its.... TOMORROW!!!! That's right, 2/23 for xbox owners, 2/25 for PC/PS3. I wish more gaming companies did this, though it seems kind of like a slip up to me. There will also be a pretty significant patch that addresses many bugs, including what promises to be a fix for modded weapons. Secret Armory of General Knoxx Achievements List

The Xbox 360 achievements for the upcoming 3rd DLC have been announced, and reveal some hints at the kind of action you can expect in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. 250 more gamerscore is now available, bringing the total to 1500. Speaking of that total, we also updated the master Achievements List to include all achievements, including the secret ones and the ones from The Zombie Island of Dr Ned.
