Rumored for some time now, Borderlands 2 has been officially announced! There is a splash page available at http://www.borderlands2.com/ and Game Informer has 12-pages of information to be revealed in their September issue. Borderlands GOTY Edition – Includes all 4 DLC – Available Oct 12

Gearbox announced the Game of the Year edition of Borderlands recently via Twitter, to be released October 12 for 59.99 on Xbox 360, PS3 and 49.99 on PC. 3/4 of the DLC are reported to be on the disc, with the yet-to-be-released "Claptrap's Robot Revolution" redeemable via a download token.
Perhaps the GOTY Edition Strategy Guide that surfaced last month will release along side this excellent value for anyone who hasn't experienced Borderlands yet.

Out of nowhere Claptrap Episode 3 has been released! This one has been a long time coming, and something tells me they scrapped the original idea for episode 3 (since I don't see my name anywhere in it) and made this one about the recent awards that Borderlands has or has not won. It's hilarious as always, watch it within.

Out of freaking nowhere, Gearbox announces the release date of DLC3 - The Secret Armory of General Knoxx - and its.... TOMORROW!!!! That's right, 2/23 for xbox owners, 2/25 for PC/PS3. I wish more gaming companies did this, though it seems kind of like a slip up to me. There will also be a pretty significant patch that addresses many bugs, including what promises to be a fix for modded weapons. That's right, apparently no more modded weapons will be crapping up your experience, at least unti...

Third DLC Announced – Secret Armory of General Knoxx

After some rumors of a new level cap raise coming for Borderlands, the third DLC has been officially announced! It will be called "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx" and will include a new environment with new missions, new "brutal" enemies, and most interestingly - NEW WEAPONS AND ITEMS!! Touted as "The Largest DLC Yet," also confirmed is the level cap raise, and from the looks of the screenshots (see inside), new vehicles! Check out the screens after the jump.
