The reviews for borderlands are rolling in, and are "generally favorable". The lowest is currently 80 with the highest 90. This is good news for Borderlands. With all the different links, just check metacritic to see the most up to date press consensus on the game:

First DLC Announced – It’s Zombies!

Worthplaying has the scoop on the first DLC for Borderlands, and it's zombies! There isn't much information, other than the excerpt and screenshots below, expect more info after the release madness next week. The DLC will be on all 3 platforms for 9.99.
Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned (who is not related to Dr. Zed from Fyrestone) does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region. Players will have to work ...
Official Skill Trees – Borderlandsthegame.com

Gearbox has released official skill tree calculators for Borderlands. They are beautiful and pretty much render 87bazillion.com's versions obsolete.
I still plan on keeping the skill calculator here, for anyone who wants a non-flash version, and one that supports right-click to unlearn. Look for an update soon including new graphics and proper descriptions/values. Check out the official trees below.

Borderlands Available for Pre-Purchase on Steam

The PC version of Borderlands is now available for pre-purchase on Steam for 44.95. The game looks like it will be available to play at 3PM on the 26th of October. Doesn't look like there is any bonus for pre-ordering like at GameStop, but it's 10% off currently, nearly 20 bucks cheaper than the console versions when you factor in tax you'll be paying at the store.
The game is also available on Direct2Drive for the same price.

Looks like Gearbox has had www.borderlandsthegame.com redesigned all in flash! Page loads are a bit more cumbersome but it's oh so beautiful, and some neat new things to check out....
